Joel Cranson

Kyle Katarn, Producer, Director

A veteran actor of Mesa Comunity College’s Theatre Outback and his Bachealors of Arts in Theatre from Grand Canyon University, Joel has spent much of his life on the stage. He has been seen in productions such as King Lear (Kent), A Christmas Carol (Scrooge), Noises Off (Lloyd), and Cat on a Hot, Tin Roof (Gooper). Joel was nominated for an “ariZoni” award in 1996 for his role as the Scarecrow in Valley Youth Theatre’s Production of The Wizard of Oz.

One of Joel’s most recent endeavors was understudying the role of the Beast in Walt Disney’s Beauty and the Beast (Phoenix Theatre, summer 2005). He also just ended a month long run playing Dr. Sanderson in Harvey (Mesa Encore Theare, winter 2005) Joel is also a member of the Mesa Arts Center’s Improv Troupe, Off the Cuff, and spends a great deal of time writing for the stage. An active member of the Phoenix Fan Force, Joel has a true passion for Star Wars. Every December he organizes the Phoenix Fan Force’s involvement with Toy Anxiety and their Toys for Tots drive. He is proud to be working with a truly gifted group of people on the Spirits of the Force Trilogy.

Where Are They Now?

Since the conclusion of the ‘Spirits’ trilogy, Joel has continued to work as a director for both the stage and screen. His most recent project, the hit sci-fi web series, PROBED:signals, has occupied a great deal of his time. For more on Joel, visit www.joelcranson.com.
